I am a professional database designer/architect -- and primarily work with Microsoft SQL Server and the open-source database, mySQL. In general, the mySQL work is always associated with a specific database-driven website which is written/accessed via PHP.
The resumes, below, are similar but emphasize different aspects of what I can deliver for you.

Websites are often done in PHP with MySQL as the backend database
MySQL is an open-source database. There is no charge for it. It is frequently used in conjunction with PHP to implement a database-driven website.
The MySQL database is extremely effective, very fast and works for most smaller to mid-size businesses. It works very well with PHP.
PHP and MySQL are working partners -- and are free, very reliable website development tools. There's not much these two entities cannot handle. And you'll never have a shortage of knowledgeable developers to work on your site as PHP is one of the most popular and widely used programs for building a website.

I actually like PHP+MySQL; it's fast, easy to program and the code itself is easily managed. Keep in mind that BOTH PHP and MySQL are open-source and, therefore, free.
